Hey Clay County! The event list is a little sparse in the winter. We want to give our region some time to thaw and then we’ll be back at it with some exciting opportunities to have fun in Clay County. We’ll update down the road, but here’s what we’ve got so far:

January Events

Clay County Comment Period

What: Have a concern? Make it official at the Public Comment Period.

When: January 18th 4:00pm

Where: James S. Rooney Justice Center, Division 5 courtroom

Voice your comments and concerns to the County Commission, and they will have someone follow up with you within 24 business hours.

February Events

Comment Period

What: Have a concern? Let your local government know at the monthly comment period.

When: February 15th 4:00pm

Where: James S. Rooney Justice Center, Division 5 courtroom

The County Commission will have someone follow up with you within 24 hours.

Mt. Gilead Monday Program: Historic Mount Gilead School

What: February’s theme is Presidents and the White House. This event is for 1st through 8th graders. Find all the details on Facebook! @HistoricMtGileadSchool

When: February 18th, 10am-2pm.

Where: Historic Mt. Gilead School in Kearney (15918 Plattsburg Rd)

Cost: $10 per person. To reserve your spot call (816) 736-8500.

March Events

Comment Period

What: Let your voice be heard and voice your concerns.

When: March 15th 4:00pm

Where: James S. Rooney Justice Center, Division 5 courtroom

You will receive a follow-up call within 24 hours regarding your concerns.

Mt. Gilead Monday Program: Historic Mount Gilead School

What: Historic Mount Gilead School hosts educational events for 1st-8th-grade students. We are unsure what the theme of this event is, but we are sure that it will be fun and educational because it always is!

When: The date has not been decided, but we will update this post as soon as we receive the information.

Where: Historic Mt. Gilead School in Kearney (15918 Plattsburg Rd)
