Spring is FINALLY here. We can’t think of a better way to welcome it than taking a hike on our incredible trail network at Smithville Lake. Check out our beautiful water views and 30 miles of paved trails taking you around the Lake. PS – most of our trailheads are free access points!
The Parks Office at Camp Branch is now open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 7 days a week. And speaking of the Parks Office, our parks are served by a dedicated team of Rangers. They keep the peace, keep our staff and the public safe, teach visitors about conservation, protect the lake from invasive species, act as tour guides, help visitors on everything from jump starts to boat tows, save abandoned pets or injured wildlife, and are in general ambassadors for Clay County Parks. So the next time you see them, thank them for everything they do for us.
Our Facebook Page is the best place to get the most current information on park and water status at Smithville Lake. So check back frequently and we will keep you updated.
Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to seeing you at the lake!
